Precision face milling
General surface and shoulder work where a stable body, insert seat and finish target matter.
PRODUCT CATEGORY · INDEXABLE FACE MILLING
An indexable face mill is a body–insert–arbor system. BOFA organizes published families by operation and gives buyers a route to confirm diameter, insert designation, cutting depth, spindle interface and quantity.
SERIES BY DECISION
Steel, cast iron, stainless steel and other alloys subject to the published insert grade and application chart. Every model link below leads to a published BOFA page or a technical guide.
General surface and shoulder work where a stable body, insert seat and finish target matter.
Stock removal where edge support, chip evacuation and machine power determine the practical starting point.
Choose insert geometry and engagement from the operation, workpiece width and required removal rate.
Confirm BT40/BT50, FMB/FMA, bore, pilot and gauge length as part of the complete rotating assembly.
QUOTE-READY CHECKLIST
These fields help BOFA separate a standard series from a non-standard requirement. Do not leave the machine interface or critical tolerance implicit.
FAQ
Use these answers as a starting point; the exact model chart and the actual machine setup remain the final reference.
Start with surface width, depth of cut, spindle power, workholding and the body–arbor capacity. A larger diameter is not automatically the most stable choice.
Do not assume compatibility from appearance. Confirm the insert designation, seat geometry, grade and cutter body model before ordering.
Send material and hardness, width, depth and engagement, body or insert model, spindle taper, arbor, coolant method, quantity and drawing or photo.
NEXT STEP
Send the product family, application data and target delivery. BOFA will confirm the available configuration.
