BT40 Tool Holder Manufacturer for CNC Milling

Toolholding controls runout, reach and torque transfer between the spindle and cutter. Select a BT40 holder from the clamping range, gauge length, tool shank, machine interface and the runout target—not from taper alone.

SERIES BY DECISION

Choose the family,
then confirm the fit.

The holder is chosen from the cutter shank and machine interface; state the workpiece and operation so the clamping style matches the load. Every model link below leads to a published BOFA page or a technical guide.

BT ER collet chucks

Flexible round-shank clamping for end mills and drills across the ER11–ER40 range.

Side-lock holders

Weldon-flat tools and higher-torque roughing where the shank and set-screw position are specified.

Strong milling chucks

Rigid clamping for milling cutters and end mills; confirm bore, effective length and machine taper.

Face-mill arbors

BT40/BT50 and FMB/FMA interfaces for face-mill bodies; check pilot, bore and gauge length together.

QUOTE-READY CHECKLIST

Make the RFQ
easy to compare.

These fields help BOFA separate a standard series from a non-standard requirement. Do not leave the machine interface or critical tolerance implicit.

  • BT taper, pull stud and machine spindle specification
  • Clamping range, shank type, gauge length and cutter projection
  • Runout target measured at a stated gauge position
  • Balancing, coolant delivery, quantity and drawing or current holder photo

FAQ

Before you
place an order.

Use these answers as a starting point; the exact model chart and the actual machine setup remain the final reference.

How do I choose a BT40 holder type?

Start with the tool shank, torque, required reach, coolant and runout target. ER, side-lock, strong milling and face-mill arbor solutions serve different interfaces.

Where should runout be measured?

State the gauge position and tool projection in the RFQ. Runout at the holder nose alone does not describe the complete holder–tool assembly.

What causes vibration in a BT40 setup?

Excessive gauge length, contamination on mating faces, incorrect pull-stud specification, imbalance or a flexible cutter setup can all contribute.
